Waves at tide’s edge

20180815_092405.jpgEK Hand Art is dedicated to exploring the common phrase “the mark of the hand” as the maker’s process unfolds in uncommon ways. I work intuitively, letting the materials, the colors and the forms ‘tell me’ what to attempt. The silver wire woven into this otherwise traditional wall hanging makes waves of tension, allowing the mark of the hand to mold the piece. This piece honors my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding at the Marine Room in La Jolla, and their input to begin this site. Method: 4 harness weaving / Materials: cotton crochet thread, silver wire, shells. / Price: NFS  Title:  Waves at tide’s edge.
